Traveling as Couple
Our one night stay in Des Moines to see the Lion King was enhanced by our accommodations at the Marriott. Although we had a shuttle to take us to the show, we had even more fun walking the sky walk system right back to our hotel. The in-room movie wasn't working in our room, so they promptly sent someone up to test the TV in the room next door and switched us to the other room. Very accommodating.

An upscale hotel in downtown Des Moines, with convenient skywalk connections to nearby attractions. Rooms are adequate for individual travelers and couples, but are probably a little small for families. The pool was attractive, but the water was a little too cold (although the hot tub made up for it!). The staff was outstanding. The Marriott in Des Moines, Iowa was a beautiful place that was comfortable and convenient for why we were there. It was an easy transition from car to room and the restaurant was friendly and very delicious.
